Years in performance graphs poorly delineated

The performance graph in e.g. a factor or basket unfortunately makes separating years more labor intensive than it should be (involving constant horizontal eye movement to where the year label is actually displayed from the other time info). I'd prefer either simply stating the year in the data point info box and/or have some horizontal axis marker for a year boundary.
